The most common visas based on family petitions are:
1. K1 fiancee visas – This visa is available only if you are engaged not married to the person whom you want to be your spouse.
2.Marriage Petitions. – Marriage visas require that you prove that your marriage was bona fide. See link for more information.
3. Parents Petitions – Only US citizens can bring their parents to the United States.
4. Sibling Petitions – Only US citizens can bring their siblings to the United States.
5. Petitioning for Children – Greencard holders can bring their children as long as the children are unmarried.
