Certain H-1B petitions and fiscal year (FY) 2023 H-1B cap petitions awaiting intake at the Vermont Service Center (VSC) are being sent to the California Service Center (CSC) for data input and adjudication, according to US Citizenship and Immigration Services. USCIS is moving these cases as a result of the VSC’s H-1B receipt issuing delays. Please continue to file applications using the Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker page’s addresses.
USCIS will be able to provide receipt notices for correctly filed H-1B applications more promptly as a result of this workload transfer. Please give the CSC time to process the cases that have been moved, and do not submit repeated petitions out of fear that your earlier submission did not arrive or was misplaced. You will not receive a transfer notification if your petition is transferred, but you will receive a receipt notice as soon as your petition is receipted. Once transferred, petitions will be completed at the CSC. Please use the petition receipt number to inquire about the status of your case.
Other workloads continue to face receipt issuance delays in various service centers. USCIS is working hard to cut down on these delays.
